You know what? There is definite wisdom in your decision to keep your pond bare. I was water changing and cleaning the other day and when I overturned some of the big rocks and other deco, I was disgusted by so much of the filth and cr@p hiding underneath the formations and in the crevices.
Besides giving MORE room for our monsters to swim, keeping our ponds free of places for poop to hide is pretty commonsensical. I will definitely follow your lead and take out all the rocks and stuff.
3 quick questions, does your floor slope to the bottom drain? Do you feed them feeders, or are those oscar fry? What else do you feed them aside from frozen market fish?

Yeah, when I read the post, I was like "a Canadian offering a Malaysian help on getting a Pima??!"
1.) no my pond is not sloped into the drainage holes. but i have 3 separate drainage holes put in specific areas of the pond so the waste is always caught. plus theres no rocks or plants so none of the excrement gets stuck anywhere..MeAko;3609617;3609617 said:
2.) Yes i feed them lampam fish. But only the 2 royal clown knifefish and 2 Tsns eat them. I only do this because they are too old to pellet train and absolutely HATE DEAD FOOD! i would not choose to feed live food due to disease!!! but i have no choice
3.) My fish live on frozen market fish and LARGE hikari spirulina pellets! The paroon, RTC/TSN hybrids and pacus LOVE the floating pellets
