TSN and knifefish? hmmm interesting choice. both are sort of bottom dwelling not so mobile fishes ... you will need something to cruise the top - especially for such a tall tank

Why not populate the new tank with asian aros? in malaysia not so expensive leh. Yes, i know it is cliche in KL but still ...

damn ... one of the paimas jumped ship ... through the covers which proved inadequately weighted. Told to increase some more. Must have grown by a bit to displace the old cover

<sigh> ... when i am not home this kinda stuff happens =(

WOW that is my dream pond. Water is so clean and clear, you must have excellent filtration. Have you considered any rays? A couple of flowers would look incredible in there. Good job, cheers mate!!!

yeh bro rays have crossed my mind. however, ive always refrained from keeping them. firstly, i heard rays were really delicate and sensitive to water quality...at such a high price i dont really wana risk it. More importantly, i frequently swim inside the pond (along with the pond cleaners) so i dont want them to step on any barbs that have shed as they are still poisonous! Lastly, i dont want the rays to accidently stab one of my awesome fish...ive heard of that happening before. Also, it wud be near impossible for rays to eat in my pond. Hard to compete with Pacus, arows and RTCS!

Haha i know ure think im dumb for choosing those fish buttt there is method to my madness...The royal clown knifefish and the TSNs are the only fish in the pond that do not eat LIVE food....By putting them in the tank, i will no longer have to put live food in the pond. This will
1.)vastly improve water quality,
2.)reduce the chance of other fish jumping put of pond while hunting and
3.)also reduces the amount of fish killed in the pond everyday (yes i believe in karma haha).
4.)Also the TSNs and Royal CKs are hard to film or take pictures of in the pond...this is a great chance to properly view true MONSTERS!

<sigh> ... the paima must have been 3'+ i mean they were almost 3' when i moved them couple of months ago before i left. the cover i put would have been adequate when i left but they must have grown quite a bit (and no extra was added). i mean i have seen them jump in the glass tank and i mean when they are spooked they jump several times in succession. so i can imagine if a close to 4' paima started jumping it will eventually get out. hmmm gotta review the cover ...

Hopefully they get more mellow when they grow up. never seen my neighbors paimas jump but then again they dont live with RTCs ... may be RTC nibbled on that paimas so it freaked and start jumping.

froom what i hear RTC nibbles on marble pim (noway that one can be eaten cos it is a monster as well) ....still
