Thats alot of Bio media, did you buy them already in mess bags like that? and where do u buy them in bulk?
ummm im not really sure...i just bought it all from the guy who made my pond (the chinese dude in the pictures). he builds and maintains ponds/large tanks for a living so im sure he has wholesale connections who sell the bio media in bulk for a cheaper price.

same fish in my current pond...but i really really want a piraibai more than anything else..especially after watching river monsters..but i cant find one anywhere....also considering wallagos and arapaimas!!!

I think go for Arapaimas i think they so much nicers then pirabai, think they quite rare from what i saw on monsters as well. I just love arapaimas just there tail lol.

Maybe when me and my future wife move back out to phili she let me make a nice pool, i just hate to think what i have to do for her to agree to that. i think i be forever in her pocket.

LOL i guess the easiest way to convince her is to flood her with so much cash money that she wont know wat to do with it!!! GOOD LUCK!

thing about pimas is that they jump ALOT!!! its really hard to keep them from jumping out of the pond like wat happened last time. they r one of the most skittish fish ive ever raised. but i guess i cud grow it till it becomes large and confident enuf to handle the other fish in the pond. MY last pima was only 18 inches...but couldnt fend for himself.

Ahh never new they were that bad, I assume its more when they are under couple of feet they do that can't see and adult flying out of the water lol

I find paimas are skittish when they are small. When i moved my last ones, they were almost 2' already (no cover). no jump attempts. My current ones are very skittish at night - not so bad during the day. They hate tank glass scrubbing - they go NUTS
