here is an adult one of those motoros. this is at maidenhead aquatics in taunton. i have seen one other motoro this colour morph as well. they seem to keep the bright centre to the spots as well as the light brown colour.

Spots look almost like a Pearlxmotoro...

Seen a couple of this exact morph though one was twenty years ago and if im not mistaken if you check out one of Axelrods earlier addition mini atlas's,theres the exact morph in there.
Lovely ray,my guess is its wild caught,im pretty sure its not a man made Hybrid...pure Motoro for me.
Just checked it out with one of my old books..Axelrods Atlas of freshwater fishes 3rd addition,page 105 fig 4...the first picture is indeed "taken" from that very book...there goes my photographic memory again..ha ha!!

Someone should breed them....they are gorgeous. Wonder why I cant find anything about them. Seems no one here at mfk has experience with this morph.

Wow would have never guessed a morph they are amazing looking.
