I wanna become a proud owner of a beautiful ray but need some help...... I have 2 main questions:
1. Are motoro rays a good beginner ray to start off with? If not what ray would u suggest????
2. When i quarantine the ray would it be ok to quarantine it in a 20 long......(I'm trying to buy one when its around 6")
The permeant home for the ray will be in my 300 marineland dd
Thanks in advance.......

1. Motoro's are one of the best beginner rays as they are one of the hardiest but also one of the biggest. Depending how wide the 300 gallon is it may or may not need a bigger home down the road.

2. 20 gallon would only be good for a very short time for quarantine as long as you had really good filtration on it. I myself would only keep a couple newborn pups in a 20 gallon for about a month until they were eating and ready to go to a bigger tank. Bigger is always better when it comes to stingrays.

The 20 gallon has bad idea written all over it... Even with hardcore filtration your asking for problems...try considering a large clear storage container

Ok have an idea but it possibly might be worst then putting him in the 20 long.... I have a 55 with some festae in to get them to pair up they r all juveniles.... U think i will be able to put the marble in with them temporarily..?
