I get it all the time like "whats so interesting about fish? they just sit there." some people are just so dull they just think that because they never had the ability to have a tank of their own they have to hate fish all-together. I put a few youtube videos up and a kid from school sends me a bunch of messages talking trash about how no one wants to see my fish. =/

really what an a** hole you should.... well never mind I dont condone violence but you get the picture

i'm 16 at the moment, sometimes there are judgemental people, but mostly all people esp. my friends know i love fish

** like for a research paper: my english teacher announced my topic which is : Resent Research on the impacts of non-native fish in the ecosystems of US waterways, and they said "OF COURSE it's Chevy's" :grinno: (my name)

my friends aren't judgemental :headbang2 friends and family support me i guess
i even influenced some of my classmates to join the hobby :D

Nope not really Most of my friends think its Awsome (the stingray is the favorite). But I think its mainly becuse I Keep MONSTER fish. I don't think they would say that same thing if I kept little wimpy fish.

some of my friends dont get it, and a few actually hate it LOL, but most of 'em like my fishes. i even got a few into the hobby and got their own tanks

i get that all the time. ive been hearing things like 'fish are stupid bc they dont do anything' or 'why do you like fish, you cant play with them' or other things like that. but the few people that have actually seen my tank have been amazed about what i have in there. for example my common pleco is the main focal point in my tank. i bought him 10 months ago and he was 3 inches long, now he is a monster 8.5 inch pleco. ive never seen a pleco grow that fast. but if people just see that i have fish and im researching stuff about fish or just looking at pictures then they think 'what is wrong with this kid? all he does is look at stupid boring fish.' its true that i have spent a lot of time studying fish, probably more than i should. but i am going to college in the aquaculture area, so i figure that the more i learn about fish now, the better prepared i will be for starting a business in the fish breeding/farming industry.

I got crap when I had a whimpy 10g then I got an 80g cichlid tank... which isn't so amazing but I live IN A DORM on the 12TH floor... Ya I've only been getting props since then...

22, nope.. most people don't really get it until they see it, then they bench themselves in front of the tank and next time we meet they are more curious of my fish than i am..

My friends make fun of me for it, just kidding around. A few of them are really into COD, so I make fun of them for that. But they like my fish, they don't like when I tell them all about some random fish species for like 20 minutes though.

Like one in ten will probably give me that. A lot of people say I know my stuff and encourages me to go into school for that kind of thing as well. Heck I dump all my $$ into my stock more than saving for school! Lol. :D
