save up to get a tank before getting that dovii. i wouldnt wan to see another pet fish getting eaten by its owner down the road.....

I am a vegetarian :hearts: I would post this baby on this forum, WW, cichlid-forum and every place in betwen before I ever killed it. One reason I wanted it was to save it from someone who will probably kill it...either on purpose or by neglect.

I actually see no reason why this would not work. If I could afford the mega-filter needed I would actually consider getting it but I cannot afford the filter. Really though....does the fish care if it is in a tank or not? No...not really. 100g is pretty good for a dovii for at least a little while.

Oh yeah...peanut_power...Cren. tigrina!!!!!! I would take that over a dovii anyday. Thats what I need...a pike cichlid. I saw some the other day called "orange spangled pike cichlids"...know anything about them? I am not good with common names.

Need a picture for sure...but sounds like they would probably be Crenicichla sp. xingu I...great pikes! Females are gorgeous! They are a bit more grouchy as far as pikes go, but its managable. BIG STOMACHS!! LOL!!

Repair..I love that, my Unle has a RED shirt that says that on it in BOLD black letters...:P

hey sand tiger, i'm also a member in the cichlid-forum and did read your post the same as this.... i mean, if you think you can do it, than go ahead and do it... or just wait save up money for a big tank, than buy the dovii...... you gotta do what you gotta do in life, right?
