hi, i plan on having three african brown knives in my tank in the near future, as soon as tomorrow actually. but im wondering if it would be a better idea to start off with buying one and "test the waters" with it, or to buy all three at the same time? my water parameters are stabile thusfar, so im wondering if itd be ok to add three to my tank. it is 56 gallons.

Its up to you, if your water is good should be fine. If you want to test with one to be safe rather then three, thats up to you, but it should be fine with one or three, just preference.

no. these are african brown knifefish. they are pretty social when juveniles. but i am providing adequate hiding places, and you can keep more than one of this kind in a tank. black ghost knives will kill each other. but im told by many people that you can have more than one of these african brown knives in a single tank provided there are hiding spots.

First thing, dude... you don't need to post 4 times to start your own thread.

Anyway, I don't know what could go wrong. I actually cycled my tank with an african knifefish and two senegalus bichirs. They aren't real sensitive.

Plus, petsmart has a guarantee

you can play it safe and slow though. not a big deal

sorry. i always remember things to add after my original post, sometimes after my time to edit it has run out. i tend to sit and think about these things too much.... alrighty then. thanks
