hmmmm always have been a fish lover and a fisher we got our first tank a 10g when I was in grade 1 my sis an I each got to pick a pet, she got an angel I got a newt, was great till one day the angel was not so angelic it ate my newts limbs off.

ever since then I have been a pet nut and a nature lover
 
I inherted a 150 2 yrs ago... and my dad had tanks when I was little..
 
My parents got me a betta when I was 2, then a small tank of goldfish when I was 5-6. I set up my own tank at about 8 and kept tanks for a few years, then quit for a few, then restarted about 5 years ago. At most I had 11 tanks set up including a QT, growout and breeding tanks. Right now I just have 1 75 gallon community.
 
Boyfriend.......Before I knew a lot about fish I over fed some of his fish and killed almost all of his large mouth bass and a few months later I needed to get him a gift and he wanted a fish so I was down for it since I did kind of owe him and now about 50 fish later i understand why it's such a big hobby.
 
my dad had some chinese gold fish when i was in kinder garden that i took interest in..... we had them on and off thrugh out the years....when i was 16 it was suggested to me by a councilor as a hobby and to help me relax...so i would stop beatin up the other kids and getting into trouble....it really worked for me
 
When I was seven, there was a pet store at the mall that would dump their tanks into the back parking lot when they wanted to change their livestock around. Me and my twin brother dug some paper cups out of the trash and we scooped up some fish out of the puddles to take home. He had an albino cory and I got a pregnant guppy that seemed to never stop squirting them out.
 
I've worked and kept animals all of my life mostly reptiles and fish. Also have always been a kind of guy that loves the outdoors, but I would have to say it is mostly because of my god given last name which happens to be Fish and I'm being serious. I used to get teased for my last name, but hey I didn't get to pick it and it fits since I love to keep fish.
 
my first gf(now my lovely wife) bought me a 10g for our first christmas. then it all started
 
noone in my family keep fish. as a kid i was fascinated by them-i used to catch tadpoles and crawfish in the creek and try to keep them.. when i was 18 i fell in love with baby oscars-and it just bloomed from there.

my red oscar that i have now is still my favorite fish by far-hes a baby-about 3.5 inches and full of character lol
