Welp i tried in the saltwater section and no response at all.... i agree with the triggers... but i was also thinking like a colony of firefish... and some cardinals... jawfish...gobies... a few tangs and a large angel.. with a little flame angel too... any more ideas?

Be careful mixing angels. It's been a while since I've kept salt but I think I remember the larger angels can become quite agressive.

Ya they can but he key to angels is to get them of different shape... like a queen will be fine with an analarus... or however you spell it.. i just call em blue ring..... but anymore ideas on what would be cool? Like possibly a banded. Shark?

Get new sand

Triggers are just like cichlids some are mild (bluejaw) some are ultra aggressive (undulate) but they all have tons of personality. Big wrasses, groupers, angels, puffers are all awesome fish with personality.

Regarding angels it's also like cichlids hit or miss keeping them together but few things help. I had 8 large angels my last saltwater and they got along well for the most part.

The tank is a 220 and i am canceling my idea of the shark... but no groupers.... bird wrasses or big triggers... i was thinking an analarus or a regal angel... probably the regal though...

and my next question is what kind of protein skimmer should i get to put in my sump... for base rock i am using limestone... and then seeding it... gonna do it all in the tank... i am also getting a 20 gallon quarantine tank... any more ideas? should i put ANYthing in that tank? and what meds should i have on hand at all times?

any ideas on the kind of skimmer to get? and how many power heads to keep a good amount of flow constantly goin? i might eventually put some corals in there... but not right now.. just fish with live rock... and i am going to use lime stone as my base rock and then seed it from my lfs... i am in pretty good with them so they will let my use a piece from their reef... but how long should i wait before i put the seeded rock in? i am using sugar grain sized white sand... i want this to look beatuful... should i put PVC pipes under the live rock itself? i have read that it is a bad idea to place the live rock dirrectly ontop of the sand its self.... any thoughts on this???
