to Many Devils?

I agree with CRS. The humps on those seven fish are too large to be that of females. Sure, female RDs can develop nuchal humps, but theirs are always much smaller in comparison to males'. Also, females have less chunky bodies. Danny's ones all have the characteristic male body shape.

decent sized KOK on the pictures. && their 8"+ and none have tried to breed yet.

Cichlids don't usually try to breed in an overcrowding enviroment. Example, my convict fry that I have in my 10 gallon grow out, most of which are at 1-1.5" the typical breeding size. None have made an attempt and I know there are atleast 3 females and 5 or so males.

:iagree: i am sure out of sevan one has got to be a lady rd spawns are a 50/50 ratio of sex ime so the only reason there is no spawning is because there are to many in the tank for them to do that. I bet if u had a tank two or three times that size there would be horriable carnage as they compeat for spawning rites.

ya hes awsome, but im waiting to hear it "plecos are suppose to have a vegetarian diet..." he eats what he wants i put lettuce and tomatoes in from time to time

well they are omnivores and require protein foods too so it's not suprising. They need some of each, and a balanced diet.

i just love your tank. keep us posted. i'm sure there'll be lots of activity in the next few months.

I love this thread! Those tanks are freak'in insane! There's no way I can house another cichlid with my Bit-h of a Red Devil. She stays in solitary for the rest of her life. I've got a 150 but I can't seem to get more than 3 cichlids in there no matter how hard I try. Someone always ends up in the hospital tank!
