I'd say get rid of the rtc and pacus, and then get some other monsters ... an aro ... dats ... some dithers like tinfoils ... BIG clown loaches ... a ray or 3 ... maybe a few peacock bass ... :D

Did I miss any?

we gotta remember that this guy is a novice. (the friend) and that he should maybe start with some easy stuff before going to the aros and dats and such

Get a pond instead. That rtc isn't gonna eat those pacu.

that what i told him i wish i could just get him to sell me the tank for that price

I wouldn't eat the rtc because there's no telling what it's been treated with in the past. It probably is ok but that's just me.

how lame is a pacu anyway! that would be the first thing that i get rid of. but the chances of finding a good home for that rtc is pretty slim.

Great first post, I can tell we are going to get along just fine. :D

And WELCOME to MFK!!!

...2 24inch clownknifes 1 28inch rtc 1 10inch oscar 2 12inch plecos and 2 18inch pacu...

Solution: FISH FRY :headbang2

Everything listed is eaten in their home countries. Plecos are hard to get into but they can be eaten. I doubt this will be the fate of any of them but you can joke with your friend about it. The pacu's and oscar are heavy waste producers so they should be the first to go. I have an empty 250 that would love to have those CK's in it :D

I hear rtcs are tasty catfish.
Great suggestion.;)

It makes me wonder why red-tailed cats weren't banned from the aquarium trade considering their potential size.:irked:
That fish should never be sold to domestic aquarists. Best to leave them in their native habitat.:)
