I recently bought a 150 gal perfecto from c-list. I checked the build sticker and it's missing the final digit in 199? Anyways have done the usual fill and sit and seals look good and holds just fine, no leaks. However I'm coincidering stripping the silicone and running a new bead. I have never resealed an aquarium yet, but this tank being at least 10+ yrs old. And having the tank here and not setup, I thinking it would be wise to reseal it. Any opinions from old time tank resealers?... thanks in advanced

imo if a tank holds perfectly with no problems at all... then i leave it untill i need to do something.

Take it from me i set up a perfectly fine 75 gallon that held water fine no leaks. It was up for 2 years then one morning i get a call saying get home the take is empty and theres water everywhere. Well long story short and 5 grand in damages later i will reseal any used tanks i buy no matter what. Hope this helps

If a tank has spent a year or more dry after being used I would reseal it if a leak would be a major issue.
