Took some pics tonight of my fattest toadfish. He's about 7" I caught him in the bay about 2 weeks ago. I think he's still a little pissed that he went from the Gulf of Mexico to a 55gal. lol

And sorry about the pics. I used my cellphone because sadly it's better than my camera :(

Toadfish are some of the nastiest fish from their bites, ouchhhhhhh, I have been bitten a couple times from handling these guys, keep your fingers away from the mouth. Pretty cool fish, mainly active during the night to, hide under rocks and in coves during the day, or in oyster coves, hence oyster toadfish, unless its another type. They are ferocious eaters to, mainly eat anything that can fit in there mouth. They were also the first fish in space too I believe.

This one doesn't move around much. He usually hides all day long under the oysters. I have a smaller one that's about 4" - 5" and he swims up and down the side all day long. I think it's looking for a way out. I actually have these in an aquarium with goldfish. Amazingly the toadfish don't mess with the goldies. The goldfish will even eat flakes that have landed on it's head! I think the big one did eat my violet goby though :( I paid $20 for that fish too! I've been dropping in shrimp, squid, and imitation crabmeat for them but the goldfish usually attack it first. The smaller toadfish will also school with the goldfish. It's funny.
