Good taste in fish, is all i say

Ya, I couldn't remember toadfish being saltwater without being a little different in species and color (grey). Brackish seems to be ideal for adult and freshwater for juevenilles if I remember correctly. Depends on where they are on being raised if I had to make my best guess. I've seen them kept both ways as adults and babies.

Orange Toadfish are actually full-saltwater fish. I believe they would die in brackish water.
Oyster Toadfish, however, are the ones that are often sold as "Freshwater Lionfish". I've heard of people successfully keeping them in freshwater, but 90% of the people that I've heard of who keep them lose them within months; and it's always because they're in freshwater. Reality is, they are best in Brackish or full saltwater systems; and for the past several months I've been keeping him in a full SW tank and he actually seems much happier, healthier, colorful, and more active than he was when he was in brackish. So I've pretty much come to the conclusion that they are saltwater fish that are born in freshwater, and migrate to the ocean as they grow up.
