Tocantins Kelberi

Any update on these guys? I have one that's roughly 1.5" hard to take pics Always hiding! Super fat though eating lots of tiny guppies! Showing like of hints of blue on the face!!

How do u differentiate Tocantis kel from Rio Arguaia kel? They looked the same to me.

Araguaia seem to have a longer body, different mouth/head & like he said the fins are bluefish on the Tocantins & reddish on the araguaia I have. The Tocantins seem to have a deeper body also.

They're much different.
Different body shape and I'm starting to like my Tocantins a little more than my rio araguaia kelberi. As far for blue on the fins not all gonna be like that. I've seen 7" ones fins are yellow.


I didn't get mine from d.o. Mine are all about 3" one about 2.5".

Well mark had an adult pic in the wild with blue fins. Maybe you don't have Tocantins maybe a different type of kelberi. Have to wait and see.

All of my Tocantins have blueish fins and I have 10 of them. I know which collection points I get my bass for.
All I'm saying is you can't guarantee what a bass will grow up looking like.
As for blue fins some will be more noticeable than others. Not all Tocantins have them when they're fully grown even tho most will.
