Dropping the tank temp a few degrees may slow him down a bit. Same with feeding a little more. The truth is that with severums, aggression is part of the breeding behaviour and males kill their partners sometimes. The only other thing I could suggest is a divider. I'm afraid you may have to separate them permanently.

Should I keep them together and see if they breed or try a little harder to entice breeding? If I have to separate them indefinitely I will just have to get rid of one of them. Most of my LFS don't take trade ins either so I would have to find someone willing to take a fish in.

Following the more hiding places advice I went to my local home depot and got a nice 24" piece of 3" pvc pipe that she can fit in and he can't and she actually used it. So I went ahead and got him out of jail and put him back in their tank. If this doesn't work I guess I will have to resort to egg crate. Thanks guys!

I hope so too but after they settled in I noticed she wouldn't run for cover very much when he would start to pester her so its all up to her now. She has the place to go where he can't get her if she chooses not to use it and he kills her it will suck but its completely up to her now.
