OMG I'm really sorry. that fish was really magnificent.

My post to you at Aquamojo.com...
Wow, Mo! I am sorry also to hear of this. But every sad story has great news within it also.
Here is a special fish that bonded with you, lasted 13 years(great achievement!), and probably knew as much about you in the fishroom as you knew about him!

Your experiences and photographs of Jumbo have inspired a generation of hobbyists and I am sure you have made this cichlid more popular! Congrats to your journey with Jumbo! I say celebrate the life he had and shared with you and mourn not! You have over a decade of great memories to share!

I will see you at the ACA Convention!
Rich

But I add here after reading all of these tributes to Jumbo....

I sense Jumbo was indeed an inspiration, an Icon, and yes...Family. He represents what this hobby really is. He shows us all that a fish can be much more than just a fish! I think we can all learn from him that by caring properly for our fish we can enjoy them for years and years and even inspire others thru the love we share over this awesome hobby!

I only regret not seeing this fish in person! His videos and pics have always been a joy!
Rich :)

Sorry for your loss. Jumbo was the first Jag i've ever seen online, especially when i got into fish. With the amount of pictures he has, have been circulated, and seen online he will most likely live on forever on the internet. You're a keeper to be envied Mo, you gave Jumbo excellent care it showed in your pics.

He was Spectacular!

Sorry to hear this mate
