Sorry Mo... Jumbo was an inspiration for me keeping managuense. He was so aggro and one of the greatest Mannies. I am just shocked that the big fella is gone. I was actually adding your pictures of him to my Hardrive and I set a couple as my background for my laptop, etc etc thinking wow jumbo is amazing. wish mine grows that large and beautiful. I am truely sorry for the loss of your family member. I know how it feels. I grew up with a Beani in my fathers tank. He died last december around christmas time on the 19th after 14 yrs. He sis not show any signs of him failing really besides that he was getting slower and would swim around as much for the last 3 or so months. he just sat in front of the glass wanting food. But I feel for you Mo.

I just saw this today.:( I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I too like the idea of a tribute and am honored to own a today in the fishroom poster of him. RIP....
 
Aquamojo, Sorry to hear this news of your loss. Sharing your awesome pictures and experiences in raising Jumbo for 13 years is an inspiration to us all. It will go a long way to influencing others to aquire and keep these beautiful monster cichlids and appreciate the joy they bring us as true pets.
 
Had to add my condolences.....he was one of the most beautiful fish I have ever seen.....and I can imagine a true character.....I guess if i was you I would have to tell myself he was lucky for being in your care.....13 years is a true testament to dedicated fishkeeping.....

I feel for you.....
