Today in the Fishroom~ 11/06/12 Betta macrostoma

More from my Segrest Farms photo shoot. A few of the "models" really stood out. One of the coolest fish that I've ever photographed was this enormous Betta called macrostoma. It really reminded me of a snakehead with the shape of it's head and eyes. I'm not a Betta guy...but seeing these beauties made me rethink the tank situation.

Anyone here ever kept these? What kind of experience?

What is the size of those so called giants?

Around 4 inches usually. I have always wanted a pair, lot of $$ though.

Nice fish Mo, I have always had a soft spot for bettas.
BTW, I think you're going to have to change the title of your threads if you keep posting the Segrest stuff... "Today at Segrest Farms" maybe?

saw a pair a while back that was around $140 plus shipping.

I've seen them on aqua bid for 150 each, I have read that they. Have very exacting requirements on water quality and parameters
