Funny! can't imagine you resisting an upgrade for that long.No idea on lifespan. I've had regular Bettas for years. IN fact...I had one that was in my office. He lived in a coffee cup for six years.Talk about easy water changes!!
but he must've always had pristine water. and loved seeing your face appear, that being his total reality. Ha!
