I removed one of five Intermedium Sp. "Misol - ha" from the pond. I think it's probably like an alien abduction. One minute they are coasting along...next minute they are in the photo tank with a room with a view. For some reason the larger fish I put in the tank go through the same behavior. First they are dazed and confused. Then, after a big water change and an hour or so of acclimation they always assume an aggressive stance...directed toward me and my camera lens. The Managuense did this...so did the Hogamoomarum. Here's the photo tank with the fish. You can just make out my reflection in the background.

Here he is dazed and confused:

AND...the attitude change:

A few shots of the Betta. He resides in the photo tank and is displaced to a bucket while photographing the fish from the pond.

haha it really does make you think how they feel when we take our fish out of their tanks. nice betta too, i would of never guessed you kept one.

That first aggressive shot is great. The stretched out betta is pretty cool as well.

even your bettas are georgeous, jesus.

Dude your pictures are amazing. I bet i takes some money to have good pics like that

Actually it's more the technique and practice. I spend several hours a week and tank hundreds of photos. The equipment definitely makes a difference, but you can get quality shots with less if you try.

I only bought it to photograph for a client. Actually I have this one and a Crown Tail.

Lookie there a bright red feeder. LOL

:D Don't think I don't think about that every time I have to scoop it out to put other fish in the photo tank. LOL He's very little trouble to keep. I actually kept one alive in a coffee cup on my desk...for five years. I'm trying to give it to one of my nieces. Better there than in the pond with the beasts.

Thanks folks. I appreciate the nod.

Is the betta you photographed not a crown tail? he greatly resembles one lol and with betta pics you should photo a twin tail. A lil small for what you normally go for i'm guessing but they are one of the more beautiful species of bettas!

Very nice shots,Mo! And thanks for sharing the photo tank.
