Today in the Fishroom~11/15/09 H. carpinte "Rio Verde"

Here is one of two large F0 carpinte from Rio Verde that I own. This is the carpinte that is cross breeding with the H. labridens "yellow" from Media Luna. This particular fish is female and approximately 10" total length. The photos are very similar....but the angles are slightly different. Wasn't sure which I liked better....so I posted both.

I was able to net a large male A. zaliosum from the pond this morning that I will photograph later today.

They look a lot like the Yellow Labridens when young. As they get a little older you can see the blue spangling and bars.
