Today In The Fishroom~12/24/11 Paratheraps zonatus

My little glass banger. I used three flash units to get the shots. The fish was just outside of the sweet spot giving a more dramatic lighting effect. I was able ti figure out just when he was ready to hit the glass...and timed the shots just right. The added fill flash from the camera enabled me to get some of the detail on the open mouth.

I think this is one of the best photographed cichlids on MFK! Every time you post pics of this guy I'm amazed. He's one hefty fish, Mo! What do you feed him?

Gruff...a varied diet. I do feed him raw seafood a couple times a week. Tonight he ate two medium raw shrimp and a large sea scallop.
