He is so pretty . Do Zonatums all get the large bulge under the throat like this one has?

It's the only one I've ever owned. I do remember that Cichlid Scene's fish used to bulk up like this. He gets the royal treatment in the fishroom...including food.

Beautiful fish, definitely on my wish list! The photos are stunning as well, very nicely done.

What is their temperament like? Tank-mates?

Aggressive toward con specifics...OK with other similar sized fish...homicidal when breeding. He's by himself in a 100 gallon tank.

Great pics mo, but my fav pic of this guy has to be the one where you two are eye to eye. classic pic and it shows how bulky he really is!
