Looking at these pictures just shows you how spoiled we are. So many people can live in huts all over parts of the world and be content. Truly heart felt pictures man. Especially when you see kids in photos. It just reaches out.
I think next time you plan a trip out there or anyone else for the matter WE (ALL) as a community should donate something for you to bring for those kids and people in the villages. You figure some old shoe's or shirt of our backs is something new for them. As you noted a simple lollipop brings so much joy for a small child. Let me know and I will be the first to contribute.

Great idea R1_Ridah. If it ever does happen it should be made a sticky and we can all get the chance to pitch-in some clothes or something.
those kids' living condition is not even the worst in the world. there're so many places in the world where kids die from insufficient fresh water. and here we are, filling up our monster tanks w/water that can save many ppl's lives. i'm not saying there's anything wrong w/wut we are doing, but it just goes to show how fortunate we are!

Thanks guys. It wouldn't take much. Usually we end up giving the kids our nets and some other gear on the way out. I gave a kid my portable bucket with bubbler. You can't believe his expression.
While it's a great thought to bring something for them, you have to keep in mind the limited space in luggage with clothing and gear and such. It's definetly easier to get it there. Usually coming back we end up having to throw things away to make weight. ONe of the things that's a big hit is baseball caps. That wouldn't take any money....just sending a ball cap that's in good condition. My buddy Dan must have handed out a dozen of them...and the lollipops of course.
