Laif Demaison from Old World spoke at the CCA meeting last weekend... one thing I learned was that (at least with Malawi fish that are seasonal breeders) light cycles are more important than water temperature with triggering breeding.
He's had cool springs and warm springs...and breeding is consistently brought on by the longer days. Might try to replicate in my fishroom!
