Beautiful fish! - how do they get along w/ Amphilophus? Could they hang in a 300?

It's always a crap shoot with CA cichlid bruisers. I'd say if they grew up together you'd have a better shot. In themselves they aren't that aggressive IMHO. But the Amphilophus tend to be a bit more territorial and scrappy. That 300 would give you some elbow room however.

I had a group of 6. 4 of which I had for 8 years. My favorite species I have ever kept. If you have a big tank and have a good maintenance schedule, you will not be disappointed in these guys.

It was kinda frustrating that I never could get them to breed. Had one male and three females.
