He doesn't have any, and mine are broke as dirt. They would help me if they could, but they are all in the same boat or worse. Before he got fired, we were doing very well. We have about 900 in savings, but that's not gonna last a whole long time. We only spend $75 a month in food, and I live across the street from my job so we spend all of $40 a month on gas, if that. I am worried about electric, rent, and feeding my snakes.

Wait, isn't all you have a bichir? Anyways, IMO just look into what you can, even if it means doing odd jobs, getting another, etc etc.

I'm sorry but that's probably the most ignorant thing I have read all day. You probably believe money buys love/happiness... :screwy::banher:

ignorant? nah, not at all. some of us are attracted to different things. Some people equate financial stability with strength and security. You also tend to have more in common when you are in or come from similar situation.

PS. i hope that interview works out, might be able to do a short term personal loan or pawn to cover the bills until he starts getting paid

Senegal birchir is all I have as far as fish tanks go. I have 5 snakes and a cat - none of which are going anywhere as I have had most for 10+ years, save for the cat and he's set of food for the next 2-3 months.

Like I said he has an interview today so we'll see how that goes.

I will be heading to the pawn shop if things don't work out with the job. We'll just have to wait and see how things play out.

This is the equivalent of someone working as a drug dealer or landscaping or odd jobs at a construction site though. She mentioned he was being paid under the table. not saying he was doing any of the things above, just the first examples that popped in my head

Exactly. He was cleaning up rental properties for some guy.
