Nice pickups guys. That is a steal for that ATF. I had to pay $100 for a 3'' fish and it didn't even last the night.

Levi I told you about the ray! He doesnt mess around! You might as well post pics cause the the net wont come off for a while. Last time he did that it was on his tail for nearly two months!

Sorry I couldn't resist. I think the stress of the 1 hour drive on the little guy did him in. He just didn't seem right when he was in the tank and in the morning he was gone.

As far as getting the net off the rays tail, just take a pair of sissors and cut the tip of his stinger off where the net is. It won't hurt him a bit, and you wont have to worry about the net having a chance to cause any infection by having it off of him.
 
Trust me with this ray you arent going to get anywhere close to him with scissors with out him slashing at you. He is the only ray Ive ever owned that I was actually afraid to have my hands around!

Im curious how a 1hr drive did your fish in? Hell I just moved my 12" ATF nearly two hours in a cooler and the damn thing jumped straight out as soon as I opened the lid when I got home!
 
LOL!! Yea, this ray is insane. It nailed the net the first time when I was getting the Dat out of the cooler, and then he nailed the net when I was cornering him in the cooler. I couldn't get the net off the second time.

He's acting like he's ok though.


I don't want to get near this rays tail...........he's nuts.

There was probably already something wrong with it when I got it. It looked to be in good health, but I guess it wasn't.

I put some krill in but I'm not sure if he ate. The lights were off. I'll stuff him with shrimp tomorrow.

I just checked on him and he was swimming all over the tank. He appears to be alright:D
