My Tokay had eggs!!!! How do I know if they are fertile? They are white and look like they are fresh!!! How do I make sure the eggs hatch? She put them on the heating pad!:WHOA:

Congrats! Now where are they located? Are they on the substrate or are they stuck to the aquarium glass? If they are stuck don't move them! They can break easily.

I dont have any PIC's. They are stuck on the glass, where the heat pad is at. They are white. One is plump the other has a small dent into it. My Iphone dosent have a zoom on it, so i cant take a photo.

I've never dealt with this before but I think we can work with it. Do you have an empty plastic butter spread dish? If you have one, poke a few holes in it. You then can place this over the eggs. You can also add a moist paper towel to the inside of the dish. You tape it on and it gives the eggs humidity and protection. I've never done it but I've heard about it being done for gecko eggs before. I am worried about the eggs cooking against the heatpad. Anyone with experience or knowledge, chime in!

dont need to worry if they are fertil. I just work up, and both eggs are broke. Thanks for all of the help.

Next time put a humidity box in your tank on top of the heat pad and she should lay in their.

Sorry to hear that, better luck next time. Tokay's breed pretty easily in captivitiy. I'm sure you'll get more. The best thing to do is have a hollow wooden tub in the tank for your geckos to lay their eggs in. Then you can just remove the tube and put it in an incubator. Tokays also have one of the longest incubation periods of any gecko. Sometimes it takes them 200 days to hatch.

tokays are not known for laying in boxes..however..they do prefer to lay in the most humid part of the enclosure..if they discover the box..they just might.
