I know I am young on this site. But, as we all know, Al Gore & I invented the internet

.
Seriously though, I believe in treat others as you want to be treated. If you flame, then expect to be flamed, or at least have some negative attitudes tossed your way..
we can all miss understand the intent of a post, I feel it is every posters job to re-read their posts, and posters should read again before a return flame. We all also speed post at times & cannot do this. If you are unsure of the intended tone of a post, reply in a way that allows the original poster to clear things up.
see below...
Gosh dude, I almost took that wrong, for a sec there I thought you actually wanted me to kiss your arse for real (silly me) . I am glad I know you better than that.... I am glad you plan on ditching the *** part & are focusing on the being smart part.
If the person then confirms their arrogance, so be it. You tried to give them an out, as well as a chance to clear things up.
& yes Del, I know you were not actually inviting people to pucker. But I do have to say, everyone in some way does seek approval of a sort from their friends, and the idea of this site is to share with frineds.

So in short (or long as the case may be) I hope everyone can try to cool off before posting, & try to word (& emoticon) posts in an informative way that conveys confidence but not too much arrogance. I take the time when possible to re-read posts.

The real short of it....
Yes, I too feel that at times I miss the true intent of a post due to the lack of vocal tone.
How's that?
