Is it the correct type of acrylic though? If it's extruded, it's nowhere near as strong as the cell cast type.

You're definitely right about the cell cast being stronger. Due to the price, I highly doubt that it is cell cast but I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. I certainly wouldn't use that acrylic to build an actual tank out of but it has been working fine for my wet/dry.
