What size tank are you running this on?

It's on a 54g lol.

I bought it used for $175 witha brand new pump. I've also ran a 100g with it in the past. I'm hoping to use it on another 180 in the future.

Look for used skimmers on the sw forums, there are great deals to be had out there.

Awesome, thanks for the advice!

After picking up this used 75gallon last night to use as a sump, I have decided to repair a leaking bulkhead in my 120gallon. Looks like it just wasnt as tight as I thought, so this will be an easy fix and now the 75gallon will filter a 120gallon instead of a 75gallon, hah!

Since I'm setting up a 120 now I figure I'll just get a skimmer good for a tank that is 150+ in size and always leave this setup as salt. That way it will be a good tank to learn on. Now I just need to figure out what to stock it with and where to get all the sand/rocks! Fun fun let me tell you, haha!

I'll be starting a new thread on this for the 120 build...But..so far I've got the 75gallon sump leak tested seems good. Time to drain and decide on sump design for it...Then fixed the leak in the 120, I think..Has had water in it for 30+minutes and no leaks so far...So we shall see in the morning! 120 has a 29 gallon sump with MagDrive 24 pump running at the moment to leak test for 24+ hours...Last picture is the return that was leaking..Took it out and put plumbers grease on the seal and put back on and so far so good!

So...which thread are we following now? Is this the tank thread and the other one the question thread? I think you should delete the other thread and keep it all on here maybe.
