too much biology for 180?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello everyone. I have a 180 gallon tank with a bonded pair of crenicichla cincta which are 14 inches for the male and 10 inches for the female. I have a 9 inch pair of heros severus atabapo as company. I am adding two 8 inch astronotus ocellatus bahia red from Rapps and a large L-029 vampire pleco.

My question is, can I add some Caquetaia Spectabilis into the mix or am I pushing the limits? I have 2 FX5 filters, 2 powerheads and I do weekly 50 percent WC's.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

How many Caquetaia?

Here are some pics. The pleco didn't make it. Cincta's tore it up. the plants growing out of the top help with water quality.

Would a kelberi work in here or is the tank too small. I can always unload the oscars if I need to down the road.
