even fish that like lots of moving water can have to much... for example... my 40 tank that now has 10 1"-1.75" clown loaches... the 700+ or so gph of water than i had moving in there was a bit much.. ive knocked it down to maybe 450gph and now they are able to swim in something other than a circle and the gravel is nolonger piling up...

I agree with you but I’m just pointing out the oblivious its entirely upon the fish hobbyist to do more research on the current flow rate they have in addition to the fish they keep, take it easy guy!

Nice the guy in the back looks stressed or is that just the lighting

One way to handle this situation if you do think it's too much is to buy another 100 tank. LOL That's still a modest 400 gph per tank.

I have a 120 that has more bioload than you can possibly imagine...I run approx 750gph through 530 SCRUBBIES and my return plumbing is 1" PVC and bulkhead.

3/4th the way down the back panel the return flow of 750 is pumped into the tank and my sandy bottom doesn't move.

You can have a large flow rate without causing swift current by using larger plumbing.

i'm assuming it's a female seeing as it's jet black. It also appears she is flaring at her reflection.. or shes just like most females and checking herself out ;)
