ok so i have a life-go 6700k light and when every i turn it on my fish goes and lays on the gravel not moving at all, is my light too bright or are baby firemouths just natrealy shy?
when my light is off they do ok, they eat and swim.

i took the rocks and driftwood out so cause im scared it would do somthing to my PH somhow.

the tank is not yet cycled and have been done 3 days ago, how long until i should expect some ammoia so the cycle can start?

place a rocks or flower pot on bottom of the tank. these fishes need place to hide. add some pistia. what power of your bulb(s) & type of filter?

deffinitely need to give them a place to hide.. just float plants on the top to dim the light a little bit and it will make them feel more secure

6700k is not a power, but color temperature. certainly power mesures in watts (W). for not planted tank enough 0.2 - 0.5 W/liter (3.82 liter= 1 g). for planted - 0.5 - 1 W/l. for your tank optimal power - 18-25 W . more power - more algae :)

good luck

then place the rocks, some pistia and yours fish will be happy :)
before placing test the rocks - drop some viniger (acetic acid solution) on it. if it dosnt bubles - put it in tank, if you will see bubles - it is bed rock. also you can try to plant, for example, echinodorus. it will reduce nitrate level in natural way.

it can be hard to get too much light over a tank, just give your fish enough cover to actually feel secure and they won't mind. right now they're out in the open, exposed an to add to the stress suffering through a cycle, you'd flinch to if someone suddenly turned on a light while you were under those conditions.
