I want to add some "dithers" or target fish (whatever you want to call them) to my 90, just to bring the fish out more.

Current stocking is:
5" GT
6" JD
4" FM
5" Pleco
10-11" Pleco
4-5" blue crayfish

Filtration:
2 AC 110's and 2 powerheads to push water around (2 AC 50's)

I've had tiger barbs with these fish before but only when they were young. JD is hiding a lot as there are several caves etc. Was going to remove the rock work and leave only the wood to help bring her out into he open more. Was wondering if 6-8 would be too much bio? What do you think?

Too mucc IMO.

Silver dollars are not that small most will get a circ of 6 inches or more.

Bioload is not large though from what I understand.

I have 1 oscar and 5 sds. The tank already looks full and the O is only at 9 inches.

Tiger barbs are only 2" or so and worked well when my fish were under 4," so I'd like to stay with fish around that size. Adding a school of 6" fish (as described in the last post) will be way too much I think...No offence, just want to stay on the safe side. My cichlids live very comfortably with almost no agression...almost :D... after all they ARE cichlids

I've considered selling/trading the Pleco's and getting smaller ones which will top out around 6-8". These guys will get HUGE and are poop machines

6-8 wont be alot of bioload there small fish, you could try a 1-2inch con

Don't like cons, not sure another cichlid would be a good idea

Actually had a chance to buy a 6" male salvini 2 months ago for about $5 and had to talk myself out of it :grinno:

sorry to rub it in to all you Salvini fans out there (I love em too)

I think your pushing your bio-load limits when all fish are grown even with tons of WCs. I don't see any harm really in adding 6 tiger barbs as you'll be overstocked anyway with the plecos. So just do more WCs.

yeah i have a salvini too headrush, good price for 6" i bought mine at 1.5inch and it was £3 $6 mines male too....so go for tiger barbs i have 5 with my jd,con, tex and gt is a 30 gallon they are going into a 120 in about 3weeks would be sooner but i go on holiday to florida soon iam building the stand tomorrow

Trade the Pleco's for smaller ones or a Striped Raphael cat to clean up leftovers. That will lighten the bioload dramatically. Should be ok to add the tiger barbs. If they get picked off, at least they don't cost much lol.
