Trade the Pleco's for smaller ones or a Striped Raphael cat to clean up leftovers. That will lighten the bioload dramatically. Should be ok to add the tiger barbs. If they get picked off, at least they don't cost much lol.

Thanks Balton, I've been considering that strongly lately. they keep the bottom really clean but then crap all over it :grinno: Should I post them in the buy n sell?

Anybody interested in 2 pleco's? One's 5-6" maybe and the other is at least 10 but both are still less than 1/2 grown.

I took some pics of them the other day so I can post them if needed

The raphaels are cool but I would want to pair them wouldn't I? I have a crayfish that will spar with the pleco's over algae wafers, but he's pretty mellow. So that concerns me with regard to adding smaller bottom dwellers like cory cats. miss my old ones. good little cleaners and very active. Also would need a good algae eater to keep it under control...thought about gold nugget pleco's..opinions?? THX

i agree - take out those large plecos. i would also remove that crayfish. those guys might actually take out some fish at night when they are sleeping. those pincers can inflict a lot of damage.

How long do the crayfish live for? Have had him/her for a few months and no problems yet. All the fish are much larger ..should I still worry?
