#8 is misleading. Sure, water changes won't necessarily slow down a cycle, nor will they remove beneficial bacteria, but they will limit the growth of the BB. More NH3 & NO2 = more BB growth sustained = less worrying about spikes/mini-cycles after the fish have been added.

A lot of this is misleading or hogwash... there are some that should have been pointing out it was meant for SW/FW/Reef/Planted/etc.

I don't agree with none of it.

For beginners its much better advise then what they usually get... I disagree with a few of their finer details.. and number 10 is the only one I strongly disagree with... BUt overall I wouldnt call it "Bad advise" but a good starting point for the novice. which seems to me their goal.
