For you guys into the oldschool, you guys would love the Rock The Bells concert series going around right now. A Tribe Called Quest is headlining with other artists such as Nas, Immortal Technique, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Raekwon, Ghostface, The Cool Kids, Kids In The Hall, Methodman, Redman, B-Real, DJ Green Lantern, Supernatural, and the list goes on. Check out the website for the full list, it was in Toronto yestarday and unfortunatly I couldn't make it I am still kicking my self for that one right now lol

Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Heiroglyphics (Del the Funky Homosapien, Deltron 3030 pretty much all his junk), KRS 1, Talib Kweli, Gangstarr.

Yeah, Brenden....Rock the Bells is wicked good.

I listen to everything and I go to nearly every show I can for anything. I went to Bonaroo this year too....so fun. Kanye can suck it though.

I wasn't a fan of rapping skills (though I think he is a great producer), but his last album has grown on me a lot. His glow in the dark tour performance really turned me around. It was dope!!

+1 to Electric Relaxation. Can we say best beat of all time?

Oh yeah, second is probably So Fresh, So Clean.

Any piece of vocal anything laid by MF DOOM.
He's basically the only multi-syllabic MC in existence.
Most/all MC's (or ones who think they are) only rap the first word, add some filler, then rhyme the last word off of the first.
That is a tired, fisher-price-my-first-rhyme, style.

I agree. A lot of new stuff that has been out has lacked any lyrical skills, but thats what mainstream stuff has always been. Underground new stuff has been ok. I can see real Hip Hop coming back. Peeps like Lupe is bringing it back. I actually want to see a hard West Coast movement!! Maybe it will start with Detox........ if it ever comes out.

we do have MTV in holland, but moost of the time i watch TMF(the music factory).
