cichlid2006 - are you saying that there are and have never been threads in the Central and South American Cichlids forum about hybrids and other flowerhorns? I could provide many examples...

Provide specific evidence to the contrary for any of these myths...

i never once said there were not any hybrid threads in the CA/SA section. your just grasping at straws and imagining statements now. i said its not the right place for it, this section is the right place for a FH discussion.

i already mentioned that myth 10 is flawed in its wording. you cant compare a hybrid to a naturally occuring fish that is made through selected breeding of pure gene parentage. a hybrid has the parentage of 2 or many different fish. a long fin oscar or EBJD is not a hybrid, they are selectively bred to produce the desired traits.
ornamental fish, granted while different to wild fish purely from a visual point of view, they still have the pure genetics of the wild fish. comparing the different types of FH to EBJD or long fin oscar would be a much better comparison as all 3 examples have desired traits bred into them over time from the original form.

if you dont understand what im trying to say then there is no shame in asking me to explain it a little better but dont go grasping at imaginary statements to try and make me look bad.

I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading.

Matt you should absolutely add #12

12. Flowerhorns are more invasive than the Snakehead and even pose a threat to the snakehead native populations in Asia

That is an 'all-timer' if I've ever heard one. :screwy:

Dude,

First, you're incoherent.

Second, you've got your panties twisted over a thread about myths that (many in the traditional cichlid hobby) have about flowerhorns. I get it. Now get over it.

Finally, I'm asking for feedback on these myths - true or false. And if they're false, please provide evidence to support your assertion.

Matt

wow, not once was i abusive to you. but thanks for giving back the same level of courtesy i gave you. i obviously hit a nerve with you.
how am i incoherent, i offered you the option to ask for a more simple explanaition, yet you got all abusive instead. good come back:thumbsup:.

now as for giving feedback on your myths. i just did(this is like the 3rd or 4th time i mentioned it), yet you still dont acknowledge it, and if you bothered to read the 2nd paragraph of what you just quoted then that would give you a starting point to do some research on how FH's are made and how ornamental fish, ie EBJD and long fin O's, are made. i gave you the info now its your turn to correct your thread, im not gonna run around re-writing your thread cos your too lazy/dumb to do it yourself. if your gonna do a thread about something then at least get your facts right before you post it or have the stones to admit that you screwed a bit of it up.
read this and you might learn something: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181152

now im done with you cos your boring me as when someone comes at you with a fault in your "myths" you retaliate with rediculous comparisons and imaginary comments. obviously you want to be right so why ask for opinions if your not gonna accept them.

Good job, cichlid2006!

I said that you're incoherent because what you write is extremely hard to follow.... that's a fact...not abuse.

To which myth does what you've written about EBJDs relate?
