:topic:So on my petco trip i got 2 baby fire mouths :D and i luv them! I think i got 1 boy and 1 girl  one of the FM has red on his belly up to the bottom jaw, and the other has orange mostly on the bottom.

Anyway i am getting rid of the africans, probaly going to get another tank and put them in there...:screwy: :topic:

Anyway i wanted to know if there were any top level swimming fish that would do good in a 55g with my Jack and 2 FM's  ? Only top levels i saw at petco were the African butterfly fish and the needlenose fish (aka gar) that said they only need 30gallons, but prefer more... It really doesnt matter what the fish is, i would just like something for the top level of my tank.

you could try butterfly fish, but if the dempsey is too aggressive you might have too much nippyness

Try hatchetfish....

I was thinking about suggesting them but they would be risky with his stock.
Needlefish are always cool however once again depends on your other fish.
Giant danio's are awesome and very hardy fast swimmers. Beware of them hording all the food for the tank though they are very agile and fast aggresive feeders :)

x2 for giant danios. they are awsome fish.
