so i have a hagen tank which has the black plastic trim all along the top side of the tank, when the water is a certian height i get water/moisture coming out the the bottom part of the trim on top of my tank, is there a way to take the trim all off the top of the tank and lay a bead of silicone down on it to reseal it so i dont get water and moisture runs down the outside of the front of the tank and side ?? it oly does it on the front left side about 18" and then a section on the right side panel about 1-2" ....

If your careful you can just lower the water and put a bead of silicone around the trim let it dry then fill it back up to test it.

the trim holds it together if the tank is up and running taking the trim off with water in it theres nothing preventing the pressure from completely blowing a seam.

Ya tank is up and running with fish and such yes, so should I just leave it then ? Or just lay a small liTtle bead on the outside ?

And where should this silicone go if on the inside then ?? The previous owner has layed silicone on outside of tank on the right side panel, but there a section that's pulled or fell off, only leaks outta the spot were the silicone is gone on that panel

i have the same issue ... and yes it sounds like a good idea lowering z water level and put some silicon to z leaking spot
