I've often wondered what happens to all those fish sold at LFS's. You can walk in to just about any lfs at any time anywhere in the country and find a good number of oscars' for instance. These thing can live for many years. You'd think that by now everyone would have one. Literally.

I'm no tree hugger but it makes me wince to think what most likely is happeneing to them. Maybe they should post life size pictures of full grown fish next to the tanks they are sold out of.

The sign is correct. Red Belly Pacus do grow to 10". What it fails to mention is that they then grow to 20", 30".
