Topwater Reviews: Saltwater lures for freshwater fish? – Fantastic Bomber Saltwater

I think a lure is a lure. The green one in this photo looks just like a Zara Spook. I personnaly don't care for poppers...I guess I just don't know how to fish them well. I love me some spinner baits and lipless cranks, and dead stickin' weightless worms (almost any Zoom worm in Aarons Magic color)

the color selection is key with respect to different color combos for the salt. Plus, the popping rigs are interesting, as are the top water shrimp etc.

differences may be subtle, but they are differences. Besides, i'm a collector of new lures, so any difference is cool in my book.

If you collect, then I could see getting them.

I'll preface this by stating that I do not fish salt. As far as color selection goes, for the purpose of fishing (not collecting :) ) I try and keep it fairly simple. Either a color/pattern is natural, or not. I tend to focus more on bait type and the bait action. I do have color preferences though. White, brown, blues, and purples are some of my go to colors. Different strokes for different folks. Whatever catches fish for you.

The color and pattern on that pink popper are pretty cool looking.

i think most of these were originally fresh water and they just beefed them up and painted them with bright colors and boom salt water lure
i have been trying more fresh water baits in salt these days. like the swim baits and such bc they are so much more realistic

thats a beastly lure man.
i do agree that they need to make bigger poppers for large mouth.
