TOrnado watch in Cali WTF???

Yeah...I heard it touched down in Marina Del Ray. I know...Tornados in Cali...the end of the world is coming soon.

Realy?? Marina is next door to me and there was not any big winds over here to call them even a weak Tornado. Dont get me wrong, there was wind blowing but nothing worth talking about. Usualy when the wind blows hard there are leaves all on the streets/curbs and I didnt see any.

Or maybe it hit a lil closer to the beach??

Interesting to hear... im going to check the paper tomorrow morn

I work in Fountain Valley and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. The radio said waterspouts were seen off the beaches in Huntington, (next city over) I really wish I could of seen that. The tornado warning did freak out some people I work with. Considering we work in a basement and have a FULL FOOD BANK, it was pretty embarassing.

Yeah...I was listening to the news at the gym while I was in the locker room and I was hearing a phone interview with a local saying that her window shattered as it went by.

I just saw on the news there having a tornado watch in these areas
seal beach,Anaheim,irvine, and more . everyone Ok? stay safe. parts of PCh are flodded as we speak .

this isn't new,................ it happened last year too or even a couple of years a go if not few already

in moreno valley, we got one,.......... tipped over a big rig, i think you can see it on youtube or look for it on the internet

Tornadoes do happen in So Cal, though rare. I can remember at least 10 in the 50 years I lived there. So that puts the average at about 1 every 5 years. The coolest one I saw the after effects of, and no one got hurt, was in Irvine that went through an orange grove, toppled 3 huge Eucalyptus trees, and rained down oranges for about a mile! Close by Sand Canyon and the 5 freeway.

Yeah stuff like this worries me. I never heard of tornados in cali, but a few years back they had one in moreno valley. And also a few year back it snowed briefly in Los Angeles. Two things that were unheard of.
