I have 2 testudo horsfiledii.

I feed:
mustard greens
collard greens
turnip greens
kale
dandelion greens
wild grasses (NO PESTICIDE/HERBICIDE)

My friend has a large sulcata, he feeds the same but supplements with timothy hay, started by soaking it and mixing w/ greens, but now he eats it dry

Yep, mine used to go nuts for chopped apple.

yeah, fruits and veggies are tasty, but how much of that is availble in the wild? Also most don't have good Ca:P ratios. I feed my torts like tiny cold-blooded cows, they are fermentive digesters.

Also:
UVB is super important, the best lights are mega-ray from www.reptileuv.com

its important to have a balnce in the diet

all of that doesnt and shouldnt be fed at once

mix it up, have different things on different days to keep it interesting and balanced nutritionally.

they may not have the proper calcium ratio, but you dont feed it everyday and they have other essential vitamins and minerals.

remeber to always supliment with calcium. t-rex makes two forms of calcium

theres the micro stick powder and CALCI-YUMS tablets, both are a pure soarce of calcium carbonate.

and yes those UVB rays are essential for calcium absorption.

but you also need other vitamin to help utilize it, so a multi vitamin suppliment is nessessary too.
