I just returned home, after 5 days, from a family reunion. 105 tanks are doing great. #106 (my 650gal) is brown, stinks, and it full of up to 3ft floaters. The intake to the filter is fine (2 16" x 4" pond strainers). The 4" x 16" 100 micron bag filter is still free-flowing. However, the impeller on the 3000gph pump seized up. It must have happened the day I left since the fish are all dead after only 5 days away. I should just go back to Wal-Mart fish so these losses don't dig such deep wounds into myself and my bank account.

RIP: 36" Panaque sp. (L065)
RIP: 21" tigrinus
RIP: 21" Megalodoras uranoscopus
RIP: 12" P. niger
RIP: 10" Siniperca chuatsi
RIP: 14" & 12+" Mbu puffers

I don't think I could handle considering the monetary value of the losses at this moment.

WHAT! Oh man that's horrible! Sorry for you loss!

oh my god. That makes me want to cry.
I'm very sorry to hear that:( All of those........I'm at a loss for words.

Jeez, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I've been where you are now OD you'll be back in no time. Some days you have the hobby other days the hobby have you. Hope you feel better soon sorry for the lost.

Ouch. Just ouch. I know you will rebuild, but that's gotta be tough.

Lessons to Learn:
1) Always have someone look in on your tanks when you're gone for more than a day
2) Always keep a spare pump on hand
