i only lost a 18" tig and i was so sad, i can't imagine the feeling of losing that much in one day. Sorry about your lose.
S**T sorry to hear that youve had some bad losses this year , hate to be in your shoes right now not that it will help any but at the least we feel your grief.

I know the feeling, and you can't anticipate something like that from happening, no matter how prepared you might be.. Only a fluke like an impeller jamming could cause such a problem for the more advanced hobbyist. It truly 'Sucks', no pun intended. I have lost large $ amounts in fish due to freak accidents like this happening.. Just recently we had accidentely turned off the furnace in our facility, which dropped the tanks temps into freezing water! Had a few casualties, but nothing like this..
In the future, once you have recovered from your losses and decided what your next goals and ambitions are, let me know.. I will work with you to get any of those monsters back into your collection
